Havana International Trade Fair
November 2008

Hassah Authentic African Jewellery and Artifacts recently had the wonderful privilege to participate at the 27th Havana International Trade Fair in Cuba. Hassah was selected by the South African Department of Trade and Industry to exhibit at the fair which took place from the 3rd to the 8th of November 2008. The fair formed a platform showcasing amongst others, the best of South African handmade art and crafts.
During the course of the fair, the South African Minister of Trade and Industry, Minister Mandisi Mpalhwa, escorted by the Deputy Director General for Trade and Investment, Mr Iqbal Sharma paid a visit to the stands and met with Hassah where the opportunity arose to discuss the future development and expansion of Hassah activities to include and train more previously unemployed people supporting our vision of growing the skills capacity of our talented people.

The Cuban experience proofed to be very significant, not only showcasing what South Africa had to offer, but also because of the interaction with fellow South African exhibitors and emerging exporters with whom Hassah can work in synergy to enhance the quality and craftsmanship of our product.
